One of the recurring compliments that I get everyday is about my hair.
I used to spend hours on my hair but now I think that my "good" hair boils down to two things:
1. A fantastic cut
and
2. REVLON's 1 1/2" barrel ceramic curling iron
Believe me. I've been on the merry-go-round. I've used Velcro rollers, glossing treatments, silk serums, hot rollers, vented round brushes and the rest of it... I've spent countless hours of my life mulling over my hair. But I've recently realized that all of this is not necessary to achieve compliment-worthy hair.
My dream hair belongs to Stephanie Seymour and I wish I could just wake-up-and-go with shiny thick voluminous hair, but there is some work required.

So, after washing my hair at night, I towel-dry and then I use the blowdryer on a high cool blast so that my hair doesn't get fried. The cool blast gives it more volume for some reason. Maybe I'm just imagining things. I don't even use a brush so my arms don't get tired--I just use my fingers to lift the roots.
Then I'll heat up the curling iron and use it section by section to give the ends some defintion. I use a natural bristle brush and brush it from the inside... And voila!
Picture perfect and low-maintenance. Well, CONSIDERABLY low-maintenance compared to before.
Some product recommendations:

Propoline shampoo & conditioner with Grapeseed Oil & Vitamins: this is a fantastic Greek product line that uses all natural ingredients. Found it at Bigelow Chemists. It makes my hair shiny and full of vitality. It also smells beautiful!

Phytolacque hairspray: this is made from vegetable lacquer. It doesn't dry out your hair or make it stiff... It gives your style a nice natural hold.
