She has outgrown these shoes.

Dear loyal Xanga subscribers,

I am about to reveal one of my best-kept beauty secrets to you.  By using this not-so-secret product I have dazzled friends, colleagues, and random people alike.  I have achieved a sparkly Hollywood smile for last-minute events and special occasions.  This product has remained a mainstay in my treasured medicine cabinet for years.  If you want an electrifyingly bright smile and healthy deep pink gums, this product is a MUST-HAVE!

Made in France, this delicious licorice-tasting toothpaste has been sought after all over the world by beauty mavens.  Meant to be used as a cosmetic illusion, Email Diamant toothpaste leaves natural light reflectors on your teeth and tints your gums red to make your pearly whites appear whiter and brighter!  The best part is that it retails just under $10 bucks --$9.00.  Keep a tube around in case you have a last-minute engagement... Or when you know you'll be photographed!  Oh, you Glamourpuss!  You won't regret it!

xoxo

One of the recurring compliments that I get everyday is about my hair.

I used to spend hours on my hair but now I think that my "good" hair boils down to two things:

1. A fantastic cut

and

2. REVLON's 1 1/2" barrel ceramic curling iron

Believe me.  I've been on the merry-go-round.  I've used Velcro rollers, glossing treatments, silk serums, hot rollers, vented round brushes and the rest of it... I've spent countless hours of my life mulling over my hair.  But I've recently realized that all of this is not necessary to achieve compliment-worthy hair.

My dream hair belongs to Stephanie Seymour and I wish I could just wake-up-and-go with shiny thick voluminous hair, but there is some work required.

So, after washing my hair at night, I towel-dry and then I use the blowdryer on a high cool blast so that my hair doesn't get fried.  The cool blast gives it more volume for some reason.  Maybe I'm just imagining things. I don't even use a brush so my arms don't get tired--I just use my fingers to lift the roots.

Then I'll heat up the curling iron and use it section by section to give the ends some defintion. I use a natural bristle brush and brush it from the inside... And voila!

Picture perfect and low-maintenance.  Well, CONSIDERABLY low-maintenance compared to before.

Some product recommendations:

Propoline Shampoo - MultivitaminPropoline Conditioner - Multivitamin

Propoline shampoo & conditioner with Grapeseed Oil & Vitamins:  this is a fantastic Greek product line that uses all natural ingredients.  Found it at Bigelow Chemists.  It makes my hair shiny and full of vitality.  It also smells beautiful!

Phytolaque

Phytolacque hairspray: this is made from vegetable lacquer.  It doesn't dry out your hair or make it stiff... It gives your style a nice natural hold.

Have you ever fought a rainstorm with a flimsy umbrella?  Have you ever felt frustrated when a blast of wind turns your umbrella inside out?  Feel a little cheesy with that $2 black umbrella from the umbrella man on the corner?

Well, I introduce to you...  SHED RAIN Umbrellas!

2471 WindPro® Leather

One of the top-rated umbrellas around!

This was recommended by a co-worker from London years ago.  The strength of this umbrella is in its steel shaft and fiberglass ribs. The WindPro vented canopy on top was designed to resist inversion--yes, Folks, it was wind-tunnel tested!

It retails at about $28.00.  Not bad.

Check out www.shedrain.com for a retailer near you.
